First I. M. Sechenov's Moscow Medical Institute, 1965; candidate of medical
sciences degree, 1976; specialized on astronautics medicine at Institute of
Medical and Biological Problems, Ministry of Public Health (IMBP), Moscow; was selected as cosmonaut on 22.03.1972
(IMBP-1);
