Doctorate degree in physical-mathematical sciences, Baltic Technical University, St.Petersburg, 1984; honorary doctorate degree from the same University, 2006; engineer; was selected on 27.05.1968 (TsKBEM-1); he was involved in the Soviet Lunar Landing Program; resigned from NPO Energiya 1986 and became chief of a laboratory at the Institute of atmospheric research within the Academy of sciences; since 1992 he worked at the Institute of atmospheric physics in Moscow; later retired; hobbies: Skiing, underwater-fishing, car-racing, collecting stamps.
