Graduated from Lenin Komsomol Higher Military Aviation School, Chernigov, Ukraine, 1988; he served as pilot until 1993 in the Soviet and Kazakh Air Force, respectively; from 1993 to 1998 he worked with the firms AO Central-Asian Depotitsystem Altyn- Kasna, TOO "Terminal" und TOO "MAAGBOOL" on the Kazakhstan stock exchange; in 1999 he founded his own firm, the TOO "Altyn Consalt", Almaty, a cooperative consulting society, which advises and rates firms and research projects on the field of law; he is also the managing director of this firm; after graduating from the Academy of Law "Adiljot", Astana, in 2000, he retired from active military duty and became Major of the Air Force Reserve; OKP: 16.06.2003 - 28.06.2005; on 27.01.2014 selected by MVK (former GMVK) and since 14.08.2014 as Test Cosmonaut (TC) member of the TsPK cosmonaut group.
