airplane engineer; Colonel, Soviet Air Force; parachutist; was selected as
cosmonaut on 08.01.1963 (TsPK-2);
OKP (cosmonaut basic training): 1/63 - 16.04.1964;
retired officially of medical reasons; from 1968 to 1970 he was instructor for
the Soviet Air Force in Algeria, from 1986 to 1990 he served as an instructor
at the Military Engineering School in Kiev; then he retired from active duty;
he lived until his death in Irkutsk; died from cancer of stomach. |
