Bachelor of Science in physics from the Fairleigh Dickinson University, New Jersey, 1966; bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering and electronics from the Fairleigh Dickinson University, New Jersey, 1968; Master of Science in physics (magna cum laude) from Fairleigh Dickinson University, 1968; Ph.D. in materials science from the University of Virginia, 1971; holds 12 U.S. patents; from 1971 to 1972 he worked at the South Africa Port Elizabeth University as the invited scientist; from 1972 to 1983 he worked at the RCA company laboratory (Sarnoff Research Center); in 1984 he founded EPITAXX Inc. which produced fiber-optic sensors and radiators; since 1991 chairman of the Board of Directors and co-founder of Sensors Unlimited Inc.; hobbies: Country music and golf.
