Bachelor of science from Texas Agricultural
and Mechanical University, 1960, and master of science from Georgia Tech, 1962,
both in aeronautical engineering; was selected as
DoD
observer for
STS-62A; 1986 - 1988 Secretary of the Air Force; 1989 - 1992
President McDonnell Douglas Corporations`s Electronic Systems Division; then he
worked with The Aerospace Corporation; later Under Secretary of Defense for
Acquisition, Technology and Logistics; retired from government service in May
2003; since 26.06.2003 elected to the Lockheed Martin Board of
Directors.
